Making a Report

 

  1. Click on the Reports tab.
  2. Click Report Wizard.  On the drop down arrow, click choose  tblcds  (your table with the cd titles, artists and year released).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1.  Click on the double greater than sign to move all the fields to the selected fields box.

 

  1. Click Next.
  2. Click Next (do not add grouping levels).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Click the drop down arrows in the 4 boxes so they appear like the graphic below.

 

  1. Click on Tabular for the Layout and Landscape for the Orientation.
  2. Choose a style and click Next.
  3. Name the report CD Report/Listing.
  4. Click Finish.

 

 

 

A Simple Query

 

  1. Click on the Queries tab.
  2. Click New.
  3. Click Design View.
  4. Click OK.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. In the Window with 3 tabs [Tables  Queries  Both]  click on Tables.  Click on tblcds.  Click ADD

 

 

  1. Click Add .

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1.  In 1st  field box, left click in the right side of the field box.  A drop down arrow will appear.  Choose CD title.

 

  1. In the Criteria box at the bottom of that column  type  >"a" And <"k" 

 

 

  1. Exit the window.
  2. Click yes to save the query.
  3.  Name the query  Qry Cd titles between A and K
  4.  Click OK.
